We review every quote request in person with an on-site visit. Every quote weighs the size of the area, the condition of the slabs, and how far they’ve settled, so there’s no honest flat rate. The reliable rule: lifting generally costs less than half of what replacing the same concrete would. The estimate is free and in writing.

Mudjacking pumps a clay slurry that weighs about 100 pounds per cubic foot through 1.5–2-inch holes, takes days to cure, and typically lasts 1–5 years before the mud erodes like the soil did.

Polyurethane goes through ⅜-inch holes, weighs about 4 pounds per cubic foot, cures in minutes, and doesn’t break down or wash away, providing support with much less added weight than mudjacking slurry.

Solid slabs: driveways, sidewalks, patios, porches, steps, pool decks, garage floors, basement floors, and parking lots. Gravel, blacktop, and slabs shattered into small pieces can’t be lifted; if that’s what you have, we’ll say so at the estimate.

Two cases: when a slab is cracked into multiple small pieces, and when the ground is hard frozen in below-freezing weather. Everything else is usually liftable.

Erosion is a key reason: water washes away the soil that supports the slab. Natural soil compaction, heavy traffic, and burrowing animals cause the rest. The concrete is rarely the problem; the ground under it is.

Further settlement can occur if the soil beneath the repair is eroded or flooded afterward. Addressing drainage helps protect the repair. Polyurethane keeps the risk low because the material itself never degrades or washes away, unlike mudjacking slurry.

A little, and it protects the fix: caulk or seal the seams of the repaired sections, backfill dirt along any exposed edges, and keep downspouts draining away from the slab. We’ll walk you through it at the job.

Most lifting or stabilizing projects finish in one day or less, and you can see the result within hours. The only wait is if a crack seal needs drying time before use.
